- 1.6L Ford Fiesta Sport Plus hatchback and 1.4L Ford Fiesta Trend AT hatchback and sedan are showcased at Ford Club Philippines’ 10th Anniversary event
- 1.6L Fiesta Trend hatchback and sedan are upgraded with even more smart technologies, including Voice Command with Bluetooth
MANILA, Philippines, 27 February 2012 – Building on the momentum of its best-selling nameplate, Ford Philippines introduced three new variants to the class-leading All New Ford Fiesta lineup during a gathering in Manila to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ford Club Philippines (FCP) last February 25, 2012.
The three new variants include the 1.6L Ford Fiesta Sport Plus hatchback, and the 1.4L Ford Fiesta Trend with automatic transmission in both hatchback and sedan body styles.
The 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus five-door hatchback features a more bold and sportier look with the addition of new front and rear bumpers and leather trimmed seats, in addition to all the class-leading features of the Fiesta Sport such as Ford’s innovative six-speed, dual-clutch automatic PowerShift transmission.
The new 1.4L Fiesta Trend AT in both hatchback and sedan body styles helps further expand customer choice for the popular All-New Fiesta, with the automatic transmission adding driving convenience while delivering exceptional fuel economy.
“The All-New Fiesta has become one of the clear leaders of the small car segment, and we are excited to be expanding our Fiesta offering and giving customers even more choice with the lineup of this class-leading vehicle,” said Vinay Piparsania, Vice President, Marketing and Sales of Ford Group Philippines.
“With the addition of the 1.6L Fiesta Sport Plus and 1.4L Fiesta Trend AT in both hatchback and sedan body styles, the All-New Fiesta will continue to connect with Filipino customers in so many new, exciting and different ways,” added Piparsania.
In addition to the three new Fiesta variants, the Fiesta 1.6L Fiesta Trend hatchback and sedan have been equipped with additional features, including the Connectivity package with Voice Command and Bluetooth and six speaker audio system – previously only offered on the Fiesta Sport variant. A front passenger-side airbag has also been added, joining the driver-side airbag already featured as standard-equipment.
The new Fiesta 1.6L Sport Plus is priced at P854,000 and is available in four colors - Chili Orange, Aurora Blue, Black Mica and Arctic White. The new Fiesta 1.4-liter Trend AT hatchback and sedan are priced at P739,000 and P729,000, respectively.
The new All-New Fiesta variants will be on display along with the full lineup of Fiestas at the 2012 Manila International Auto Show, World Trade Center from March 29 to April 1, 2012.
Since its launch in October 2010, the Fiesta has set a new standard for small cars with its class-leading combination of design, safety, quality and fuel efficiency and smart technology and continues to be Ford’s best-selling nameplate.
