With the theme “Islands of Diversity, Seas of Connectivity” an estimated eight million visitors are expected to visit the EXPO 2012 Yeosu Korea. At the Philippine Pavilion, through the collaboration of Hyundai and the DOT’s other corporate partners, guests shall be treated to a stunning interactive experience of the Philippine coasts, culture, and products. Said DOT Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr. “The Philippines’ participation in the Expo reaffirms its strong diplomatic ties and strong trade partnership with South Korea…. Hyundai is our enlightened partner in building an engaging and positive brand image for the country. Through our joint efforts, we look forward to seeing more people come and discover why it’s more fun in the Philippines.”
Said HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, “This partnership signifies Hyundai’s solid commitment to be an upstanding agent for sustainable growth in this country by supporting our government’s strong advocacy for private-public partnerships (PPP). HARI celebrated its new partnership with the DOT at the second Hyundai RUN for a Cause held April 29 at the Quirino Grandstand. There, HARI showcased its key CSR programs for 2012-2013 with its partner organizations. Each cause had a designated color to signify HARI’s involvement in different nation-building endeavors: yellow (Filipino heritage and pride), green (environment), gray (social entrepreneurship and countryside development), red (education), orange (community development through health), blue (road safety and responsible car ownership), purple (youth development through sports), and pink (women and children’s rights protection).
