Porsche Center Philippines held it’s commencement exercises last August 18, 2012 for  the 7th batch of Scholars who graduated from the Porsche Training and Recruitment Center Asia (PTRCA).    

A group of 16 scholars from the Don Bosco Technical Institute  completed the training program which now certifies these graduates to be Porsche Mechatronics. These young underprivileged Filipino youths now faces a bright future of being employed at several Porsche dealerships abroad.  Thus fulfilling the mission of this unique program of helping these youths and their families look forward to a better life.

The Porsche Service Mechatronics Scholarship is a product of a collaboration between PTRCA,  Porsche AG and  Don Bosco Technical Institute.  Initiated by Robert Coyiuto Jr., Chairman of PGA Cars, the PTRCA was established in 2008  at it’s headquarters in Mandaluyong.  Together with Porsche AG, who wanted to  put up a “mechanic school” in the Philippines  and the Don Bosco Technical Institute whose advocacy was to help our youth through education, the program became a realization.  

“This promise of improving the lives of our Filipino youths and their families is what will ensure the perpetuation of this program for years to come” said  Robert Coyiuto Jr. PGA Cars Chairman during his speech at the graduation ceremony.

The 7th Batch of Graduates will be setting out to their guaranteed employment destinations in the Middle East, Latin America as well as Asia. For Batch 7, some of the countries where they will be assigned include Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. There are already a total of 98 graduates from PTRCA in the Philippines, 92 of which have been deployed to work for various Porsche Centers worldwide.
