Ford Motor Company has announced the appointment of Kay Hart as managing director, Ford Philippines, effective June 1. She will report directly to Matt Bradley, president, Ford ASEAN. Hart is currently serving as Dealer Development and Field Operations Director, Ford Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai, China.
Hart will replace Randy Krieger, who has been appointed director, Marketing and Sales, Ford ASEAN. Krieger will be based in Bangkok and will continue to report to Bradley.
In her new role, Hart is responsible for leading the successful and ongoing product-led transformation of Ford’s business in the Philippines. This is being driven by the continual introduction of class-leading One Ford vehicles, as well as the aggressive expansion of the company’s nationwide Ford dealer network and customer service experience.
Hart will help drive the continuing momentum of Ford Philippines, which has delivered four consecutive months of record sales through April.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kay to her new role. With her proven experience and leadership in the region, we are confident that she will lead the continued growth our business in the Philippines," said Bradley.
Since 2009, Hart has been serving as Dealer Development and Field Operations Director. In this role, Hart has overall responsibility for the development and growth of Ford’s distribution network across the region and rollout of Ford’s Brand@Retail global dealership facility design standard.
Prior to this role, Hart served as vice president of Marketing, Ford Thailand, where she played a central role in driving the company’s overall marketing strategy and awareness of the Ford brand.
Hart joined Ford New Zealand in 1999 and over an eight year period was successful in a number of marketing, dealer and sales roles. Hart held positions such as Ford New Zealand’s National Sales Manager, Marketing Programs and Communications Manager, Parts and Service Marketing Manager and Dealer Operations Manager.
Hart is a graduate of the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a double major in Marketing and Management.
Krieger has served as president of Ford Philippines since 2010, leading the company’s product-led transformation in the country that included the launch of the all-new Ford Fiesta, all-new Ford Explorer, all-new Ford Ranger, all-new Ford Focus and Ford Mustang.
During this time, Ford has delivered record sales for three consecutive years and nearly doubled its nationwide Ford dealership network.
Krieger began his career with Ford Motor Credit Company in 1986. Throughout his nearly 30-year career at Ford, including the last 11 years in the Asia Pacific region, Krieger has served in a variety of leadership roles. In addition to leading the Philippines business, Krieger oversaw the company’s operations in Japan, as well as served in senior marketing, sales and service positions in China.
