Ford Philippines today reported that it finished the month of September in record fashion – achieving its best-ever performance for both the month and third quarter.
Continued strength in demand for its full lineup of global Ford vehicles – led by the class-defining all-new Ranger pickup - helped Ford deliver its best-ever September retail sales of 1,231 units, helping drive its all-time best third quarter with sales up 46 percent to 3,330 units.
“A healthy economy and strong consumer confidence is helping drive steady showroom traffic across the country,”said Kay Hart, managing director, Ford Philippines. “This is helping introduce our Ford brand to even more customers, and response to our full lineup of segment-leading Ford vehicles has been exceptional and is helping drive record sales.”
Ford remained the country’s fastest growing automotive brand in 2013 through September with year-to-date retail sales rising 70 percent to 9,591 units.

Sales of Ford’s cars also contributed to the exceptional September performance. In its first full month of availability, the segment-leading new Ford Fiesta delivered retail sales that increased 54 percent to 315 units.
“The new Fiesta offers exactly what our young and trendy customers are looking for today in a small car – expressive, fun, smart, and with leading fuel economy,” said Hart. “It’s off to a great start, and we’re confident new Fiesta will continue increasing in popularity and connecting with an even wider variety of customer lifestyles and personalities.”

Continued strength in demand for the upgraded Ford Explorer lineup helped third quarter sales nearly double to 277 units, with year-to-date sales now up 73 percent to 737 units.
And in September, the company sold another 19 units of the Ford Mustang sports car, bringing overall customer deliveries since its launch in the Philippines to 303 units.
