Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Unveils All-New Mirage G4 (w/ Brochure)
Mitsubishi Motors Phils. Corp. (MMPC) adds more excitement to its passenger car lineup with the official unveiling of the all-new Mirage G4. Designed to address the need for a practical and yet stylish compact sedan that will perfectly suit diverse lifestyles, the Mirage G4 which stands for Mirage Global 4-door sedan offers great cabin and trunk spaces, class-leading features and amenities providing customers with an exceptional value for money. The all-new Mirage G4 is available in GLS and GLX variants and in both Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) and 5-speed manual transmission (MT) models. This compact sedan is a completely built unit from Mitsubishi Motors Thailand.
Engine and Transmission
At the heart of the all-new Mirage G4 is a lightweight and compact 1.2 Liter 3 In-Line DOHC MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control) Gasoline engine which is able to produce a maximum output of 78Ps at 6,000 rpm and 100Nm at 4,000rpm of torque. Thanks to this ecofriendly engine, plus excellent aerodynamics which is among the best in class and lightest Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body, the all-new Mirage is able to achieve up to 21 kilometers per liter fuel efficiency (based on Mitsubishi Motors Corp. test results using EU combined cycle).
Exterior
The all-new Mirage G4 flaunts an attractive and modern styling radiator front grille. The GLS variant gets a “Diamond-Cut” chrome grille while the GLX is treated with a “Diamond-Cut” black grille which adds sleekness and excitement to this small sedan. In addition, smooth aerodynamics is reflected with its distinct dynamic character line which kicks up towards the rear. The GLS variant is complemented by a 15” x 5.0 J Alloy Wheels with 185/55 R15 tires while the GLX variant flaunts a 14” x 4.5J Steel with 175/65 R14 tires. The top of the line GLS variant is equipped with Power Side Mirror with Integrated LED-type Lamps.
The GLS variant is available in 6 trendy colors namely: Medium Blue Mica, Pyrenese Black, Savanna White, Majestic Red, Gemstone Grey Mica, and Cool Silver. Meanwhile there are 4 color choices for the GLX variant: Majestic Red, Gemstone Grey Mica, Cool Silver and Aurora White.
Interior and Entertainment
Inside the Mirage G4 is an Ivory and Black themed interior for the GLS variant and an all-Black themed interior for the GLX variant which superbly blends to this sedan’s stylish and sophisticated stance. The dashboard is neatly structured with all the controls and buttons simplified and well located. The GLS variant is equipped with the Auto Climate-Control System which accurately controls the temperature inside the car and maintains a soothing and relaxing temperature.
Enjoy a comfortable drive with the Mirage G4’s generous space and impressive legroom which is luxurious enough to fit 5 adults and even 5 six-footers. Luggage space will never be a problem with the Mirage G4’s spacious trunk which can even accommodate up to 3 golf bags or up to 450 liters of grocery and shopping bags.
Aside from the luxury of space, you are also bound to enjoy a great entertainment system with the Mirage G4. Multimedia Entertainment System is available as dealer option for the GLS variant. This features a 4-speaker audio system, 6.5 inch Touch Screen Monitor, DVD and MP3 player, Tuner, Auxiliary jack, USB port, which is also iPod-ready. It’s also equipped with GPS Navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile the GLX variant is equipped with 2-DIN Single In-Dash CD, MP3, Tuner with USB port.
Safety
Similar with its hatchback sibling, uncompromising safety is what you can expect from the all-new Mirage G4. The all-new Mirage G4 is equipped with front dual SRS airbags to ensure safety and protection from direct impact collisions. This Global sedan also features the Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (R.I.S.E.) Body which ensures the safety of all passengers. The body structure’s crumple zones effectively absorbs and dispense crash energy from all directions, completely protecting the interior cabin. The GLS is also equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD). These two systems work together to prevent tires from locking up, avoiding collision during sudden braking on wet roads and other conditions. ABS ensures that the car remains responsive to the driver’s control when braking while the EBD distributes the force generated to all four wheels to shorten braking distance.

The top of the line GLS variant is equipped with Keyless Operation System which allows you to lock and unlock the doors and truck with just a push of a button. Suggested introductory retail price of the all-new Mirage G4 starts at P578,000 for the GLX MT, P628,000 for the GLX CVT, while the GLS MT is available for P668,000 and the top of the line GLS CVT is P718,000.
