Mr. Tan didn't reveal much details about the upcoming new model, but did say that the WRX is aimed squarely at the luxury sports sedan market buyer such as the BMW 3 Series and the recently launched Lexus IS. This could mean that the all-new WRX could gain more luxury amenities enabling it to battle with these luxury brands.
Meanwhile, the WRX STI will be maintaining its positioning as a high-performance car with more than 300 horsepower. He said to expect more news at the upcoming motor shows including the Los Angeles and Tokyo Motor Shows which means Subaru will globally unveil these two new models then.
Of course, with its debut at MIAS 2014, it won't be a big surprise to see precision driver Russ Swift rock the all-new WRX and WRX STI then.
More details soon.
