Honda Cars Iloilo Receives Step-1 Green Dealer Certification
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently recognized Honda Cars Iloilo (HCIL), a member of Honda Cars Cebu Group (HCCI), as a “Certified Good Green Dealer” in a ceremony held at their dealership last September 11, 2013.
HCPI’s Green Dealership Program takes into account the dealership’s environmental initiatives in its sales operations, particularly in the sale of its products, services and parts. To acquire certification, dealer must effectively implement activities under its 2-step program. Step 1 activities include waste management, recycling, basic safety, use of personnel protective equipment and compliance to legal requirements. Meanwhile, Step 2 activities include contribution to local community through CSR projects, energy and environmental conservation, chemical use and control, improved waste management system, improved recycling program and complete safety and personnel protective equipment. This program is in line with the Global Honda Environmental Initiatives towards helping in the preservation, conservation, and protection of the environment.
HCPI’s President and General Manager, Mr. Tatsuya Natsume presented the certificate and plaque of recognition to Mr. Christian Andaya, Branch Manager and Mr. Edgar Braza, Service Manager of Honda Cars Iloilo. Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Alec Bucao, General Manager of HCCI Group; Mr. Norman Millare, Customer Service Division Head and Mr. Edipollo Anastacio, Service Support Department Head of HCPI.
