Toyota Corporation Raises P 10-M for Yolanda (Haiyan) Victims

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) offers its most heartfelt sympathy to those affected by the devastating typhoon that ravaged the Philippines on November 8, 2013.

To support relief efforts, TMC, Toyota Motor Philippines and Toyota Financial Services Philippines announce a combined donation of 10 million Philippine peso. TMC will also encourage employee fund-raising and continue to consider various forms of support best suited to the circumstances.

TMP president Michinobu Sugata conveys his sympathies to the victims of the typhoon saying, “It is with deepest regret that the recent typhoon has taken so many lives and has caused great destruction in many communities in the country. It is our hope that Toyota’s assistance will help many Filipinos to start anew.”

Continuing its advocacy in social contribution, Toyota and its affiliates are one with the Philippines in rebuilding communities in calamity-stricken areas. TMC (Japan) is the mother company of Toyota companies worldwide. TMP is the local automotive manufacturing company in the Philippines, while TFSPH is the domestic firm serving Toyota customers through financing and leasing services.

TMC and its affiliates in the Philippines hope for the soonest possible recovery of the affected areas.
