Volkswagen PH Adds Polo Notchback (Sedan) to Line-Up
Automobile Central Enterprise, Inc. (ACEI), the official distributor of Volkswagen cars in the Philippines officially adds a new car to its line-up: the Polo Notchback (sedan). The Polo Notchback is currently available in a sole variant: the 1.6 TDI with 105 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and is currently retailing for P 950,000.
The Polo Notchback features body-colored bumpers and a chrome-accented grille. 15-inch alloys complete the look of this sturdy, solid-looking sub-compact sedan. The Polo Notchback measures in at: 4,384 x 1,699 x 1,466 (L x W x H in mm) with a wheelbase of 2,552 mm. Inside, the Polo Notchback has a height-adjustable front armrest along with manual air conditioning. For entertainment, the Polo Notchback has a single CD with 4-speakers as well as a SD-slot and USB iPod input.
The first vehicle in its class to fulfill the stringent EuroNCAP 5-Star standard, the Polo Notchback has dual SRS airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) as well as front and rear fog lamps for the best possible safety.
"Volkswagen has always been known as the People's Car, and now with the introduction of the Polo Notch, the possibilities of owning a fine German car with the latest in technological advancements become more attainable for the Filipino," said JP Orbeta, president of ACEI.
The Volkwagen Polo Notch is now available for viewing at Volkswagen's BGC showroom located at 28th Street City Center, Bonifacio Global City.

While it is the cheapest in the VW line, its still the most expensive compared to its Japanese and Korean counterparts.

DeleteSo what if it has a German badge? Its made in India and I beleive its the very basic model thats being sold here. The price tag is incredibly high. Its very spartanic in specs compared to its Japanese counterparts. I wonder about its maintainance costs...
