Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Shows Off Future Design, Products
Audi showed off their newest concept car, the Allroad Shooting Brake that is supposed to “combine a host of visual elements of future sports car models with the Audi-typical allroad concept and ‘shooting brake’ car body form.” This could likely mean that the Allroad Shooting Brake could preview what the next-generation TT and the Q1 would look like.
The introduction of the Allroad Shooting Brake marks the first time Audi combined two of its form languages: the e-tron and allroad. The Allroad Shooting Brake emphasizes lightweight and this is seen in its skin which is mix of aluminum and carbon fiber reinforced polymer.
Underneath the hood, the Allroad Shooting Brake delivers 408 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque while weighing in at just 1,600 kilograms. These power figures were achieved by combining the 2.0 TFSI with 292 horsepower with two electric motors. The first electric motor is a disc-shaped electric motor with a decoupling clutch with 40 kW. This integrated electric motor drive is supplemented by another electric motor mounted to the rear axle. Both electric motors feed off a lithium-ion battery which means the Allroad Shooting Brake can operate on electric power for 50 kilometers. It can also move this car in pure EV mode up to 130 km/h.
