Nothing Says Soccer Mom More than the Subaru Viziv 2 Concept

Your eyes are not fooling you—it’s sort of déjà vu for Subaru who’s showing off the latest iteration of their forward-thinking Viziv Concept. After it was introduced at last year’s Geneva International Motor Show and turned into the Evolution Concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, it has further evolved into the Viziv 2 Concept, and boy is it showing its love for soccer moms. How? Well, for starters it has grown soccer-ball like front and rear lamps.

Otherwise, it’s the same basic Viziv Concept (but now with two additional doors) which people reckon is a sneak peek at the new Outback, which is expected to gain a more crossover-like profile or as a new 7-seater crossover to replace the company’s aging Tribeca. Regardless, the Viziv 2 Concept is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.6-liter turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine providing the fossil fuel thrust. In addition, the Viziv 2 Concept has one electric motor upfront and two rear motors that’s controlled by what Subaru calls its unique “Four-wheel management”.

The Viziv 2 Concept also incorporates Subaru’s wishful-thinking autopilot system.
