The 3rd Bangkok International Auto Salon 2014 (BIAS) has grown into the largest and most exciting custom car and accessories show in the ASEAN region, and this year the event plays host to several new product launches, including the public debut of the all-new Honda Jazz subcompact hatchback.
To be held from June 19-29 at the Challenger Hall 2-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand, the BIAS 2014 carries the theme “Passion for Performance” and boasts the latest custom cars and auto tuning technologies direct from Japan.
Meanwhile, a large collection of locally customized vehicles will also be displayed, reflecting the high capability of Thai auto mechanics as well as Thailand’s leading position as the center of automobile industry in the ASEAN region.
While a larger number of major automobile companies are participating in the event this year and will exhibit a colorful collection of customized cars, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. will be going a step further by staging the first public launch for the all-new Honda Jazz in the ASEAN region.
Major accessory and parts makers will also launch at least 10 new products at the BIAS 2014 this year.
While Thailand host a large number of auto shows annually, the BIAS 2014, entering its third year, stands out from the crowd with the “entertainment car show” concept, which combines auto exhibits with various entertainment and activities for visitors.
For example this year the “J-Lifestyle Zone” has been introduced for the first time to give ASEAN show goers a glimpse of Japanese lifestyle. A large number of popular Japanese youngster hangouts such as “Maid Café” as well as famous ramen shops and other popular Japanese delicacies will be set up.
This year more than 1,000 customized cars from a large number of car clubs will participate in the BIAS while other attractions include Ninja show from Japan, A-Class Girls from Japan, Japanese vs Thai model, the famous sexy carwash show from the original FHM-GND, sexy carwash contest and concerts by famous artists.

The exterior features a D-1 AD WIDE KIT combining carbon Kevlar design on the doors, rear spoiler and diffuser.
NISSAN/LB PERFORMANCE LBWORKS 35GT-R
Liberty Walk, another leading tuner, fancies the idea of retro cars and has picked the Nissan GT-R R35 for modification. The package includes retro-style fender expansion kit by LBWORKS (60mm wider in front and 80mm wider at the rear). Wheels are 11-in alloys in front and 12-in alloys at the rear, mated to 285mm and 315mm tires respectively. The rear wing has also been designed to resemble those of a GT racing car.
MITSUBISHI i-MiEV EVOLUTION
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV Evolution is the all-wheel-drive electric car that took part in the challenging Pikes Peak uphill race. Thanks to its running performance and nimble character, the car is developed using the same electric motor as the basic, mass-market i-MiEV. Weight reduction is done via the use of carbon Kevlar parts while the body has been stiffened with a space frame for better dynamics.
