Honda Recognizes Newly Established Dealers as "Good Green Dealers"
Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently recognized Honda Cars Greenhills (HCGH) and Honda Cars Marcos (HCMH) as “Certified Good Green Dealer” in a ceremony held on May 6, 2014 at their respective dealerships.
HCGH started its operations last November 14, 2013, while HCMH last January 26, 2014 are the newest additions to the Yuchengco Group of Companies’ (YGC) Honda dealership network. These two new dealerships took the add-on challenges positively to include environmental initiative in its sales operations, particularly in the sale of its products, services and parts. Both HCGH and HCMH were able to complete the Step-1 requirements of HCPI’s Green Dealer Program.
To acquire complete certification, the dealer must effectively implement activities under its 2-step program. Step 1 activities include waste management, recycling, basic safety, use of personnel protective equipment and compliance to legal requirements. Whereas, Step 2 activities include contribution to local community through CSR projects, energy and environmental conservation, economical chemical use and control, improved waste management system, improved recycling program and complete safety and personnel protective equipment.
The Green Dealer Plaque and Certificate were presented by HCPI’s President and General Manager - Mr. Toshio Kuwahara and Customer Service Division Head – Mr. Norman Millare.
“We appreciate YGC’s cooperation and support in fulfilling HCPI’s endeavor to achieve an exceptional level of environment friendliness in our operation. We are looking forward to achieving 100% certification of good green Honda cars dealerships nationwide”, Mr. Kuwahara said.
This ‘Green Dealer’ program is in line with the Global Honda Environmental Initiatives towards helping in the preservation, conservation, and protection of the environment.
