Volkswagen Fan App Kicks Off
Volkswagen is presenting the World Cup edition of the world's most successful football app "Onefootball". The Onefootball Brasil app is now available for free download. The exclusive Volkswagen World Cup edition features breaking news on players, teams and results as well as a live ticker and the latest football videos. "Volkswagen is a partner for football all over the world. The app gives fans from all nations the opportunity to follow everything that's going on at this year's football mega-event as and when it happens. This app turns it into a live experience for the fans", Anders-Sundt Jensen, Head of Marketing Communications at the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand, said.
The app features a live ticker as well as loads of information on the players and teams plus detailed statistics. Football fans also have access to the latest videos, for instance of the press conferences, and all the football news. As Jensen explains, "it only takes few clicks on your smartphone to keep in touch with what's happening – anywhere, anytime. For football fans, this app is a must."
Users also have the opportunity to predict match results in interactive mode or to choose their man of the match. A filter function prioritizes and individualizes the news, scores, videos and results for the favorite team. In addition, a discussion forum gives fans the opportunity to chat about match results or their favorite players and teams.
The Onefootball Brasil app is available now in 15 languages for iOS, Android and WindowsPhone.
The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930. The current format of the tournament involves 32 teams competing for the title which includes teams from Germany, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, England, Netherlands and this year’s host, Brazil which have won five times, and are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Italy, with four titles and Germany, with three titles.
