All You Need to Know About the 2015 Ford Everest
Editor’s Note: If you want to check out the full launch story, click here. For the ASEAN launch story, click here. Philippine specs, model variants, and prices here.
You’ve seen the all-new 2015 Ford Everest. Now let these handy “cheat sheets” help you out. These series of factoids, produced by Ford serves as a handy chart to see why the Everest is bound to re-write the SUV rulebook when it finally hits Manila and the rest of ASEAN soon. It’s pretty extensive covering its heritage, safety technology, exterior and interior design, and a whole lot more.
They are all in images, so if you want to save them (or find them too small), you can simply right-click them and select Save As.
If the features are carried over and if top spec price is lets say 1.9M..then I wish hyundai good luck with their santa fe top spec price at 2.2M+..
ReplyDeleteCorrect!
DeleteEven if it costs 2.2M+ with all those goodies carried over, this beast will still be worth it. On the other hand,if HARI will update the santa fe and if it'll be as well equipped as the santa fe in the U.S. without further price increase, then maybe at 2.2M+ the santa fe will now be worth its price. But this one, this is the real game changer, the new big bros of midsize SUVs which makes the santa fe the big sister. LOL!
DeleteMas mahal talaga ang mas bagong engine tech at mas elegant interior, better ride and handling.
Isip isip din pag may time, kupal.
Ikaw ang magsimula mag-isip, hunghang. Mas malaki ang engine, mas mabigat at mas malakas din sa fuel consumption, simple physics lang yan, more air==more fuel. Basa-basa ka na rin muna ng power-to-weight ratio gung-gong.
Deletewhat'll happen to MUX, Fortuner and Montero?
ReplyDeleteecoboost 2.0 and 2.2 L will rule or the bet word is RUIN them. ford come a long way in their technology. small displacement but same power with bigger engine and plus the fuel efficiency factor in diesel. whats more!?
DeleteLove the 2.2L just love em :)
DeleteAnonymous November 18, 2014 at 2:27 PM
ReplyDeleteHave you actually driven those SUVs you've mentioned? Sounds like you haven't by the way you type your post. Wrong grammar typical of, sorry if I may sound offensive here, jejemons who don't even drive and own cars.
DeleteGrabe di ko maintindihan to. Kahit tagalog jejemon parin. Wag ka na magpost.
DeleteComments like that should be moderated as they pollute the overall quality of an otherwise good site.

Hahaha....
As I have noticed, lahat dito nag dedebate ni hindi man lang tinitignan kung ano ang kanilang sariling kalagayan at kung saan sila nakatira, simpleng kasabihan "pag ayaw mo sa kapaligiran at ayaw mong makita ang bagay na ayaw mo eh di umalis ka at lumipat sa lugar na gusto mo at makapag panatag sa sarili mo" kung ayaw mo nang 3rd world eh di lumipat ka sa 1st world" kasi kahit ginto ka man sa putikan kung titignan ikaw ang nag mumukhang tae sa pangkalahatan kasi hindi ka marunong gumamit nang talino't yaman mo dahil alam mo na iba ka sa paligid mo pinipilit mo pa rin ang gusto mo na hindi naman "in "sa bansang kalalagyan mo unless na hindi mo naman pala kaya nag ppretend lang utak ginto sa tingin pero pag kinilatis peke dahil plated lang pala... just get out the place which you think you are not belong.. just simple as that .... if you are really good and intelligent enough... at kung totoong mayaman ka.... he he he .... bobo ang taong bumili nang mamahaling gamit at gagamitin lang sa lugar na hindi bagay .....
DeleteI've heard of Ford's 2.2L Ranger as problematic. Slow and underpowered. I'm not sure though if they were talking of the 4x2 or the 4x4. If it's the latter it's expected since 4x4s are heavy and needs lot of power to fully function as such. I would also like to know of the cost of maintenance if it's comparable to Toyota which is low and the resale value of Fords.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, Mr Ulesys Ang or some here could comment on that.
By the way, is there a 4x2 version of the upcoming Everest?
Both the 2.2L and 3.2L Duratorq TDCi engines are upgraded according to Ford, though they haven't release the new power and torque figures yet. Maybe they will release those figures once they've launched the mid life cycle facelift of the Ranger in the coming weeks or months.
DeleteAnd yes, the new Everest has a 4x2 variant.
No. Its not true, ranger 2.2L is good, I've got my ranger wildtrak 2.2L 4x2 last july 2014, i drive in the highway, i try full throttle speed is 180km/h and fuel cons. 8.8L/100km. and its comfortable drive especially long distance and until now still good condition, and already i have 4,300 km in the speed km.after 10,000 km next maintenance.
Delete2.2L of Ford Ranger is kinda slow from starting starting ownwards (from parking) but when the engine starts to heat up good the pickup is already good, that's the only thing i noticed (I own a 2.2L Ford Ranger 4x2 XLT model)
DeleteKahit anong bihis mo dito, 3rd-world truck-based SUV pa rin ito. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
ReplyDeleteI think Australia is a 1st world country, and this'll be sold in Australia. But that's just me thinking out loud.
Deleteexactly, Australia is 1st world modern country. l think the reason they don't sell this in the USA is that engines there should be at least 6 cyl. because of the Free ways. you need at least 6 cylinders pag free way byahe mo sir.hindi tatagal engine mo pag 4 cyl. at palagi kang free way.
DeleteThat is true, but then Australia is a client state lang din naman, that is not Ford's home country nor is it Toyota or Mitsu's home country. So for this purpose Australia is treated no different from the Philippines.
DeleteYou need at least 6 cylinders sa US? Huh? Hoy, majority ng sedans dun like Camry and Accords are the 4-cylinder variants.
DeleteSo, in short, for Ford and Mitsu, Australia is also a 3rd-world auto market.
Deletewalang camry and honda accord na 4 cyl. sa US sir, ikaw ang hindi naka punta dun sir.... u don't know what ur talking about... sorry to say that
Do your research, idiot.
DeleteAnonymous November 16, 2014 at 6:48 PM...
DeleteBTW Mitsubishi evolution is a 4 cylinder car and also is 2015 Ford Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost.
DeleteThis person surely has personal problems... Don't mind the problem of others dude, and also.. I think you just don't have the resources to buy this awesome vehicle.. :)
DeleteThe hater of SUVs like this new Everest, Trailblazer, MU-X, Montero Sport and Fortuner doesn't even recognize the fact that Americans are dreaming to have these SUVs become available in the US, especially with their diesel engines. Americans are jealous of the ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, and South Africa because these markets get to have these so called 3rd world SUVs. Americans badly wish that Ford, Chevrolet, Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Toyota would launch these SUVs in the US
ReplyDeleteSorry to tell you, but the US market has waaay more choices in terms of trucks and SUVs than PH. This is the market where the top-selling vehicle across all categories for many, many years now is the Ford F150 full-size pickup truck. Where even Honda and Toyota sell gasoline-powered pickup trucks and full-size SUVs (example: Honda Ridgeline and Pilot and Toyota Tacoma, Tundra and Sequoia. In short, they won't miss this 3rd-world model there.
DeleteThat's actually the point! They have alot of choices but they want diesel-engined trucks that's why they dig these types of trucks imported to 3rd-world countries, or at least the diesel engines.
DeleteWow...It's amazing. Ford always never let me down on their upcoming models. I'm using a Ford Everest Limited model and i'm bored with it now. Hope this new Everest launch soon in Viet Nam, too.
ReplyDeleteYan lang kaya nyong bilhin???
ReplyDeletethe reason the everest will not be sold in the US is because it will directly compete with Ford's other models belonging to the same category. just like the ranger who is almost the size of the f150. mind you ford is bringing in US Spec and made Escape, does that make us 1st world? hehe
ReplyDeleteWrong, dumb4ss. The reason is because they already have a plethora of trucks and SUVs to choose from over there, most of them are gasoline-powered even. And, wrong again, the Ranger is a small truck compared to the full-size F150, so they do not belong in the same category.

I own a ford ranger and i love it.
ReplyDeletemaaring kayo ang may pinaka mahal na sasakyan at pinka mayaman pero it will never make you a better man than others (or girl if ever)
1st world country po pala gsto nyo sasakyan eh nakatira lng po kayo sa 3rd world country i think its better to buy a car that will fit the environment you are in.
hahahaha lecheng mga tao to ayus muka hoy!
In fairness, he is telling the truth, pero let the people buy and enjoy the diesel SUVs and let them learn their own lesson.

"The more efficiency the engine breaths the more efficient it will produce power"

ReplyDeleteHi Everyone, do you happen to have any idea on when would the New Ford Everest will be available in our Market? I am currently looking for a replacement service vehicle for our family and currently taking into consideration the proko price of Toyota Fortuner G 2.5 M/T Diesel and Isuzu MU-X, both almost have the same price range on their Mid Level Offering. However I am a fun of Ford Trucks though as I have used a 2009 Trekker as my company service vehicle for more than 4years and I am really satisfied with its Engine Performance and Durability, does I am expecting that the new Trekker based Ford Everest will perform almost the same. I have visited Ford Alabang and they could not yet commit on when the New Everest will be out in our Market and was advised that their sales representatives normally trains for almost a year everytime a new model will be out in our Market and currently they have not yet undergone any training for the upcoming Everest. Your point of view and recommendations will be highly appreciated . Thanks.

ReplyDeletei think this new ford everest will rock Ph., eto na ang bagong dream car ko... mapapa saakin ka rin in God's time..
ReplyDeleteParang gangster car isip in mo lalabas Si Vin Diesel, kasama Si Busta rhymes at mga asong Rottweiler , ang Ganda non
DeleteHow come it's a 3rd-world SUV???
baka wala kang pera pam bili kaya sakit ulo mo?
DeleteNaranasan namin bakit, kasi naka 2 beses na ford at 1 Chevrolet
DeleteTapos kayo manlalait na " bobo ka maganda ford " for your information
Tignan mo ford kada taon Panay recall aabot pa sa 15 - 17 million kada namamatay ang driver worldwide dinaig pa Toyota at Mitsubishi , tignan mo Wikipedia or articles hanggang ngayon kumakapa ng bailout ang ford and yet ikaw ang is a sa mga keyboard warrior na nais manggulo ng may opinion na naranasan niya
So I would say do some research
I have difficulty choosing between the 3 SUV's 2.5 MT Ford Everest, 2.5 MT Trailblazer and 2.5 MT fortuner. Can you please help me to decide which among the 3 is the best when it comes to performance, durability, safety, maintenance and fuel efficiency? thank you
