MIAS 2015: Chevrolet Adds Off-Road Ready Colorado Tracker, Trailblazer LTZ SE
Chevrolet Philippines launches an off-road ready version of their venerable Colorado dubbed the Colorado Tracker. Equipped solely with a manual transmission, the new Colorado Tracker comes equipped with features that cater directly to people who love the great outdoors.
Priced at P 1,588,888, the Colorado Tracker is fitted with the class-leading 2.8-liter Duramax 4-cylinder diesel engine with 200 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The Colorado Tracker comes only with a 6-speed manual. The tough-and-durable design enables the Colorado to go through any sort of obstacle on- or off-road.
Along with the one-ton payload, which is standard for all Colorado 2.8 models, the Colorado Tracker comes with a 12,000-pound power winch to tow anything and everything from a stuck vehicle on sand to loading a boat on a trailer. It also has skid plates to prevent damage to the underchassis and all-terrain tires to handle trails off the beaten path.
A new lift kit increases the Colorado Tracker’s height and is therefore expected to better the class-leading 800-mm water wading depth. It also comes with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System for peace of mind.
Other additional features of the Colorado Tracker are: a 6,000-pound tow hitch with electrical receiver, a dash camera with 32 GB of memory, reversing camera with digital compass, and an air intake snorkel.
Joining the Colorado Tracker are two new variants of the Trailblazer mid-sized SUV. The entry-level 4x2 L model now gets a new 2.5-liter M/T variant priced at P 1,298,888.
The big news, however, is the range-topping model, the 4x4 LTZ SE that tops out at P 1,788,888. The LTZ SE is differentiated by new LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and bumper skirts. Inside, it gets a revised infotainment system with a reverse camera and tire pressure monitors.

Hi,how about da Chevy trax? Any idea i,
ReplyDeleteChevy Trax will be available on the last quarter of 2015 or 1st quarter of 2016.
DeleteChevy Trax will be available on the last quarter of 2015 or 1st quarter of 2016.
DeleteMy first choice before was the Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 4X4. But since there's no manual trans on that trim last 2013, I bought the Chevy Colorado 2.8 4X4 LTZ M/T 180hp 5 speed on Aug 2013. On Dec. 2013 they launch the Duramax II 2.8 engine now with 200hp and 440 nm and in 6 speed manual trans. On February 2014, Ford launch a manual tranny for 3.2 Wildtrak!@#$#@! (excuse my cursing). I am planning to sell my colorado to a friend whose been waiting for a second hand (I bought it brand new) and will buy the face-lifted Ranger Wildtrak.
ReplyDelete------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the questions:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Does this new 2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 4X4 M/T has a rear LOCKING differentials?
2. Would it be wise to trade-in my old Colorado to get that off-road ready version of their venerable Colorado dubbed the Colorado Tracker? or
3. Would I considered the All-New NP300 Navara 4X4 VL M/T even if the dashboard (non-touchscreen, no gps) looks like a blast from the past?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Possible answers:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. 2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 4X4 M/T DOES NOT HAVE a rear LOCKING differentials nor does the Colorado. NO 12,000 lbs. winch in its bumpers like the Colorado Tracker.
2. Buying a Colorado Tracker is a mistake I think because it is already RIPE for FACE-LIFTING.
3. NP300 Navara 4X4 VL M/T 190hp 450nm? Most 4X4 nuthead will trade their kidney for that additional 10hp and 20-60nm. 5-link rear suspension is a plus.
