Just three years and five months since production started in November 2011, the Mazda CX-5 has reached a production milestone. Just a few days ago, the 1,000,000th (yes, one millionth) CX-5 crossover has rolled off the assembly line. This makes it the second fastest Mazda model to reach the milestone—the first being the Mazda3.
The first model to receive the full KODO – Soul of Motion and Skyactiv technology treatment, the CX-5 has won more than 60 different awards around the world including Car of the Year – Japan 2012 to 2013.
Locally, the CX-5 has been a success story for Berjaya Auto Philippines, the authorized distributor of Mazda vehicles in the country. Keeping it on top of the game, it was given a refresh this year as shown to the public at the 2015 Manila International Auto Show. It features a revamped look with LED lighting technology and improved interior materials.
