Kia Philippines Updates Picanto for 2015


Columbian Autocar Corporation, Kia’s distributor in the Philippines, is bringing its A-game to the A-segment by updating the Picanto hatchback with an upgraded exterior/interior, revamped audio system, and improved performance.

Kia boasts that its Picanto remains the most stylish car in its class and they maintain this by giving it a new wider grille and flared bumpers. The front fog lamps now have a clear lens giving it better illumination and light distribution. At the back, it gets a new black diffuser-effect panel integrated into the rear bumper. And now, buyers can opt to upgrade to 14-inch alloy wheels straight off the factory.

Inside, the instrument panel gets a larger LCD display while chrome surrounds the binnacle, dashboard air vents, and gear lever base. A new high-gloss piano black trim is applied to the transmission panel and gear lever itself. A new cloth upholstery aims to boost its appeal to the younger market.


The audio system in the Picanto has also been upgraded allowing it to get better radio reception while a larger LCD screen makes track names and station IDs easier to read.

Finally, engineers have enhanced the Picanto’s on-road performance by giving it larger front brakes (252-mm vs 241-mm) This improves the braking performance by up to two meters. The manual transmission also gets new carbon-coated components for the first and second gears giving it a smoother shift feel. Like before, it’s available in both 1.0-liter (69 horsepower) and 1.2 (87 horsepower) displacements.

The 2015 Kia Picanto retails for P 575,000 for the 1.0 EX M/T and P 650,000 for the 1.2 EX A/T.

    hoy atty na reklamador,wala talagang air bag ang presyo nyan, kung gusto mo ng airbag,yung kotse na halagang 800k pataas, yon ay may airbag sa harap, at kung gusto mo ng may airbag sa gilid, yung 2M pataas. bobo!

      Ok lang na walang airbag ang Picanto. Mataas naman ang Advanced High Strenght Steel content niya.

      Cars of similar price i.e. Mitsubishi Mirage, Suzuki Celerio, Toyota Wigo and even Hyundai Grand i10 have airbags.

      Air bag is just a supplementary features alam niyo ba yung meaning ng airbag? The main and best safety features sa auto is the Seatbelt right? Baka kayo wala kau mga sasakyan kaya hindi niyo alam yan.... Kahit may airbag kapa safety ka ba? If hindi ka mag si seatbelt. Don't be dumb comentator if you dont know what is the first safety precaution. FYI bobo commentators

      Most people don't use seat belts. Couple that with an airbag, and boom! broken face when it is deployed.

      attorney ka ba talaga? e bakit nagtyatyaga ka sa mumurahin na kotse? dapat sa isang attorney ay fortuner, everest,monterosport or higher model pa. baka naman attorney ka sa kanto, yung "notary public". e magtyaga ka na nga lang talaga sa wigo at mirage.

    Ok. So sa mga matatalino dto at prang magagaling.. Ano po ba ang masa.suggest nyo na dapat bilhin for this category? In terms of fuel efficiency and durability.. Etc.

      Suzuki Celerio has topped the last DOE Fuel Efficiency testing at 29KM/L. Toyota did not enter the Wigo so we won't know. Both cars are the only A+ compact cars meaning has larger space inside. Celerio at 513K MT - cheapest in its class but you get dual airbags and ABS.

    Sad to hear that Picanto in PH does not have airbag. I am working in Middle East and my car here is Picanto, It has dual airbags and I am satisfied with its performance.

    Maganda na ang picanto 2018 good quality na ....malaki na makapal pa ang kaha...matipid pa sa gasolina at tahimik ang makina akala mo hindi cia naandar..

    May airbag naman yung na bili ko na picanto.
    Isa sa driver and isa sa passenger at sa likod side airbag.
    Baka denpde sa package na kinuha.
    Matipid sa gas, pwde mag park sa small area, going to baguio d naman nahirapan up down up.
