Nissan Formally Launches NV350 Urvan (w/ Brochure)
Nissan is continuing to modernize its commercial vehicle offering by unveiling the 2015 NV350 Navara. The fifth-generation van comes from a storied line of Nissan family and cargo haulers dating back to 1973. The all-new model aims to meet the demands of entrepreneurs, shuttle operators, and family users.
“Shuttle operators preferred the Urvan for its proven reliability, passenger comfort and strong air-conditioning system, flexible loading and seating capacity for both cargo and passenger,” said Antonio ‘Toti’ Zara, President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI).
For starters, the 2015 NV350 Urvan features the most powerful engine in its class, a 2.5-liter CRDi 4-cylinder engine shared with the NP300 Navara. For service in the NV350 Urvan though, the YD25DDTi pushes 129 horsepower at 3,200 rpm and a whopping 356 Nm of torque from 1,400 to 2,000 rpm. The sole transmission option is a dash-mounted 5-speed manual gearbox. Aiding fuel efficiency, it has a shift indicator within the instrument cluster that gives drivers a visual cue on when to shift up.
Although aimed more towards commercial and business use as opposed to recreational use, the NV350 Urvan does improve passenger comfort. The driver is made to enjoy tilt-adjustable steering and a seat that slides forward and back to allow a wider range of body sizes to enjoy a comfortable driving position. The instrument gauge, aside from containing the aforementioned shift indicator, has a built-in drive computer that gives information such as cruising range and fuel economy. Finally, air conditioning vents are now spread evenly throughout the NV350 Urvan’s roof line (12 in total) to make sure everyone will remain comfortable even during Manila’s midday sun.
From a design standpoint, the NV350 Urvan has been thoroughly modernized with shorter overhangs and a more aerodynamic profile. In addition, the side roof drip channel has been removed. Other visual enhancements include an angular front grille, sharply angled halogen headlights, and a squared-off rear design. All models get flushed side windows and 15-inch wheels with full-sized covers.
And, Nissan is proud to announce that all NV350 Urvan will enjoy a three-year manufacturer’s warranty even if they’re used for commercial purposes. The launch of the NV350 Urvan also coincides with the availability of the Nissan Customer Assistance Center (NCAC).
“We’re proud to announce that this is a first in the local automotive industry, to provide warranty coverage for vans used for UV purposes,” Zara said.
The NV350 Urvan is now available at all Nissan dealerships nationwide with the following configurations: 15-seater (P 1,183,000), 18-seater (P 1,196,000),and 3-seater cargo (P 1,177,000). It will come with the standard colors of Brilliant Silver and Alpine White while special colors such as Precision Grey, Black Obsidian, and Tiger Eye Brown are available with a three-month waiting time. All Nissan NV350 Urvan are made in Japan.
At first glance I thought the photo was a mistake and I was looking at a Toyota Hi-ace;))
DeletePuro M/T lang?I understand that its aimed for commercial purposes but ok din sana na pampamilya ito kaso puro M/T. This is a good alternative sana to family vans like the Hi Ace and Starex na sobrang mahal na.
ReplyDeleteI think they'll bring in higher variants eventually.
DeleteToyota did the same thing before... They launched the Commuter variant first before launching the Grandia models.
This new Nissan NV350 is good for family and business. Perfect for businesses like Rent-a-Van Service, School Bus, Cargo-Delivery, Bridal Car, Airport Shuttle, UV Express, & GT Express/V-Hire/Filcab.
ReplyDeleteToyota Hiace, Nissan nv3500, Fuso canter, all same stuff made by foton china and just rebadged, or downgraded with engines coming from the car assembler, like toyota with only the old 2.5 diesel in Pinas. Just for FYI people. Now, as for the overpricing of old and antiquated diesel in Pinas, that's another story.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, the nissan was introduced in Japan way back in 2012. Petrol powered. But outside china and japan, they bolt on their usual.third world country diesel engine.

DeleteKaro ng Patay!
ReplyDeletebakit walang A/T!!!!!???
ReplyDeleteMarami na ba itong aircon vents? kasi yung luma sa harap lang.. you are forced to put a fan sa gitna para lang malamigan yung mga nasa likod na likod.. tsss.. How come that this company didn't think of a great experience to all passengers??
ReplyDeleteIf you read the article it says there are 12 vents scattered throughout the cabin. That means there are air con vents until the last row.
DeleteREAD!.......

Deleteplease compare their hp to distinguish which is faster...
DeleteIt is better than the previous at least patok ito sa mga UV express
ReplyDeleteAng main competition nya (hiace commuter) 102hp lang at 260nm torque. That's 26% more hp and 37% more torque if my calculations are correct. It has the same exact body as the commuter. No radio?
ReplyDeleteTanong Lang. Pang euro 4 diesel na ba Ito at may diesel particulate filter? Thanks
DeleteThe NV350 is very good for the market but i'm very confused with this model.. in this review it says that it has ABS brakes and i saw in the picture also equipped with 2din head unit, but in the other review there's no head unit. frown emoticon also in the brochure unfortunately can't find the ABS brakes.
ReplyDeleteBecause the original launch talked about the impending launch of the NV350 Urvan. The photos and specs there reflected the Japanese model. Alas, we got the base variants not the higher variants that was shown in the Japanese press photos.
Deletei've got mine last july 22,
Deletekumusta naman yng performance...
DeleteFuel consumption?
Engine noise/
Ano usage mo sir?
We are asking a few months ago information here in the netherland about this car, but i think they don't want to sell one , i find it a very bad company. I only get reaction that they read my question but further no reaction.
ReplyDeleteRegardless if it is a 15-seater or an 18-seater variant, they all go with a 65-liter tank.
ReplyDeletethnks and GOD Bless po
Sa Japan price if converted to peso I think it will cost 3Mln plus.
Based on the new urvan's brochure it only has a driver side airbag. The hiace is still ahead in safety because even the base commuter comes with 2 airbags and abs. In ventilation, the urvan wins with its extended aircon vents versus the commuter.
ReplyDeleteTrue. With its extended air vents, one doesn't have to install an aftermarket fan just to suffice the ventilation at the rear area.
Deletehow much is the topspeed of this nv350 can hit? anybody guys can give some openions? thanx and more power....
ReplyDeleteAny data for fuel consumption? Is it Euro 4 compliant?
ReplyDeleteWill these be in California?? I need this in Cargo style...Does anyone know?
