Nissan Philippines Adjusts Patrol Royale Price

Nissan’s flagship large SUV, the Patrol Royale is getting a price adjustment for the 2016 model year. Meticulously honed for over five decades, the Patrol (now known as the Patrol Royale) is the first four-wheel drive vehicle, according to Nissan, designed to take on the climatically demanding Middle East region. It packs a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine mated to a 5-speed automatic with a 4WD system with a rear locking differential.

Engineers went through more than 200 prototypes for evaluation before coming up with the vehicle that eventually became the Patrol Royale.

The Patrol Royale packs a 5.6-liter V8 engine with 371 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 526 Nm of torque at 3,400 rpm. Designed for maximum performance and smooth response, this engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic with manual shift mode and cruise control.

Keeping all that power in check is the Hydraulic Body Motion Control System or HBMC. It keeps the Patrol Royale flatter with less body roll during lane-changing and cornering while delivering a comfortable ride in city driving and superb stability on rugged and sandy tracks. It also employs independent suspension on both ends along with 275/60R20 tires.

Outside, the Patrol Royale features LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) with an automatic on/off function. Inside, it has generous amounts of leather, polished aluminum, and wood grain paneling with ample seating for 8 adults. It also has a powered driver’s seat and tilt/telescopic steering with memory, tri-zone climate control, a 13-speaker Bose sound system with a DVD system with two 7-inch headrest monitors, and a moon roof.

Helping maneuver the 5.16-meter long SUV, the 2016 Patrol Royale has front and rear clearance sensors with an Around View 360-degree camera. It also features 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Limited Slip Differential, and Vehicle Dynamics Control with Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist.

The 2016 Nissan Patrol Royale is available in two colors: Pearl White and Black Obsidian for a retail price of P 3,990,000.

  2. While it was commendable that the price was reduced by a million pesos to P3.990M, I still don't see many buyers for this Flagship Nissan SUV. It's targetted for the well-heeled set but seriously who needs a 5.6L V8 gasoline powered SUV in the PH with just a 5speed Automatic transmission to boot when the competition is way up to 7- 8speed. Of course with that much power you can do with 4 speed but Nissan is silent on the km per liter knowing that it was designed for the Middle East where petrol is cheap. The best selling Patrols of old where all diesel. Powerful yet relatively efficient.

  3. Nissan should adapt to consumers wants and needs. In this case, They should make a V8 Diesel Engine like Toyota's 1VD-FTV. If they don't really listen to their consumers, They won't really sell much.

  4. The real competition is in the midsize SUV category where Nissan doesn't have an entry to compete with the Everests, Fortuners, Trailblazers, MuX and Monteros. Their X Trail is in the compact category with a price approximating that of the midsize SUVs so no one is buying.

Their only bright spot is the New Navarra but sadly their top of the line 4 x 4 doesnt even have a cargo bed liner included. All pick ups ought to have a built in bed liner as standard. Anything less is a disservice to pick up buyers.

  5. Of course this will not sell even if the price is lowered to P2.5Million. The reaso is obviously because it's a V8 petrol powered car. Why not install the V6 diesel engine that is VGT? That one will sell! Definitely

    2. Folks who complain about how expensive this vehicle is or how they don't need a V8 or how thirsty that engine is are obviously not the target market for this vehicle. If you can't afford it, stop complaining. Complain only if you can easily afford it but still find the price too high for a Nissan. Otherwise, you just come off as sour grapes.
