Tokyo Motor Show 2015: Porsche Shows New Macan, 911 Models
Porsche unveiled a new variant of its performance crossover, the Macan at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show 2015: the Macan GTS. Like the rest of the GTS range, the Macan GTS features black accents, unique wheels, seats, and GTS specific badging.
The Macan GTS comes packing a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 306 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque from 1,650 rpm to 4,000 rpm. It has a 7-speed dual clutch transmission with permanent all-wheel drive. 0 to 100 km/h comes in just 4.8 seconds. Stopping the Macan GTS are 14.1-inch disc brakes upfront and 13-inch discs at the back. Active Suspension Management comes standard with ride height and damper stiffness adjustment.
Launching alongside the Macan GTS is the new 911 Carrera 4S. Though it looks pretty much the same as the outgoing 4S, it does now offer Porsche’s new twin-turbocharged engine that bumps up the power to 420 horsepower. And like all S models, the 911 Carrera 4S can be optioned with rear-wheel steering.
