TAS 2016: Tokyo Auto Salon to Kick Off on January 15
The third major car-related auto show this January (after CES and NAIAS), the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 is kicking off from Friday, January 15 to Sunday, January 17 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Complex. Already one of the largest annual custom car and car-related product shows in the world, the Tokyo Auto Salon 2016 is, according to its organizers, the biggest one yet.
Marking its 34th anniversary this year, the Tokyo Auto Salon now has 447 exhibitors and 880 vehicles on display. In addition, 4,265 booths will be present. Every year, the show has seen record attendance breaking the 300,000 mark last year. Organizers hope to break the 300,000 mark again this year.
Full support from major Japanese car manufacturers such as Subaru (photo above), Mazda, Honda, and Toyota as well as their tuning divisions undoubtedly contributed to the growth of the show. Apart from the exhibitions, the Tokyo Auto Salon will hold a D1 Demo Run as well as the “Tokyo Auto Salon Promotional Girls A-class Stage”, which sounds much like a pageant show featuring booth babes.
Fresh from the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), CarGuide.PH will be at the Tokyo Auto Salon so follow us live on Twitter or Instragram (@carguideph).
