Ford Philippines February Sales Jump 52 Percent Thanks to All-New Everest
Ford Philippines reported February sales that jumped 52 percent year-over-year to 2,671 units, led by the second best-ever sales month for the Everest, as well as the EcoSport, Ranger and Explorer.
Overall sales through February have now risen 51 percent, making Ford one of the fastest-growing auto brands in the country.
“The Philippines’ healthy economy and positive consumer sentiment are helping drive continuing demand for Ford vehicles, particularly our SUVs and Ranger pickup,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines. “With an expanded dealer network, we’ve also been able to make the Ford brand more accessible to customers across the country.”
February sales were led by the all-new Everest which delivered retail sales of 1,234 units. The all-new Everest raises the bar for mid-sized SUVs with its striking design, outstanding capability, and advanced connectivity and driver assistance technologies that make it one of the smartest vehicles in its segment.
The EcoSport compact SUV continued as one of Ford’s top-selling models in the Philippines with February sales of 610 units, maintaining segment leadership in the Mini-SUV segment. Built on Ford’s global B-segment platform, the EcoSport continues to delight customers with its combination of small-car practicality and agility of an SUV.
The premium Explorer SUV had another strong month with February sales rising 19 percent from a year ago to 118 units, with the recently launched Explorer Sport with EcoBoost in 3.5-liter and 2.3-liter variants helping drive customer demand.
With the combined sales of the Explorer and Expedition, Ford is segment-leader in the large SUV segment.
The segment-defining Ranger pickup truck delivered sales of 535 units in February. The Ranger – offered in a range of 13 automatic- and manual-transmission variants, remains to be one of the best-selling trucks in the market today.
“The versatility and capability of the Ranger is unmatched in its segment, helping to meet the needs and requirements of Filipino customers across a range of work and lifestyles across the country,” explained Mosley.
The new Ranger achieved a 5-star crash test rating from ASEAN NCAP, including the highest Adult Occupant Protection score of any pickup truck tested.
The new Mustang had its best month to date in the Philippines, notching February sales of 42 units. Equipped with either a V8 5.0L or EcoBoost 2.3L engine, the new Mustang comes with world-class handling, more precise steering control and enhanced ride comfort.

^I hope next time Ford PH will headline how they improved the after-sales service and customer satisfaction aside from bragging about their total sales every quarter...
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see the Everest and Explorer co-existing nicely. Mustang with 42 units a month is quite impressive, that's even better than the sales number of some mid-size sedans out there.
