Honda's ASIMO to Greet Foreign Travelers Entering Japan
Visitors entering Japan will be welcomed by a brand-new ambassador: Honda’s ASIMO robot. For a one-week period starting Monday, March 28 to Sunday, April 3, travelers entering through the Narita International Airport will be greeted to ASIMO’s dancing moves.
The show, which runs between 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm (demonstration times depending on flight schedules) at Narita International Terminal 2 marks the first time for any airport in Japan to hold this kind of exhibit even before clearing the immigration and formal entry process. During the one-week period, attendants riding Honda’s personal mobility device, the UNI-CUB, will escort travelers on certain flights to a specially-arranged demonstration area.
Honda aims to spread its technological strengths as well as Japan’s unique brand of hospitality through ASIMO’s multiple moves such as dancing, kicking a soccer ball, and much more.
