Isuzu Philippines Propels Rider Omega to Triathlon Victories
Proof that Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is a maker of vehicles that are geared toward exciting lifestyle activities as much as for commercial use is supplied by the recent triumphs of the Rider Omega Pro Tri Team. The Cebu-based Rider Omega Pro Tri Team dominated the Dipolog Triathlon Race held on May 14 and 15 at Sunset Boulevard in Dipolog City, capital of Zamboanga del Norte. Led by team manager Tonyson Lee, the multi-sport athletes swept the podium spots of the event’s various categories, aided in no small part by the support from IPC, as well as the lineup of Isuzu vehicles that addressed the team’s logistical requirements.
“Just as diverse as Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s range of models that are designed to serve the needs of businesses and families are the company’s efforts at supporting various endeavors. From corporate social responsibility programs that protect the environment or provide technical education for underprivileged but deserving youths, to the sponsorship of athletes in their sporting pursuits, IPC remains committed at supporting various sectors of society. Isuzu’s humble assistance to the Rider Omega Pro Tri Team is in line with this, and the company shares the team members’ joy in their latest achievement,” said IPC Marketing Head, Joseph Bautista.
The Rider Omega Pro Tri Team was crowned overall champion in the Team Challenge Category, having led in several classes of the gruelling competition. Kristiane Lim clinched the top spot of the Male Elite Category, with teammate Banjo Norte securing second place.
Also scoring first-place finishes were Paul Jumamil in Male Age Group 24 years and below, Welmar Saavedra in Male Age Group 30-34, and Alton Amor in Male Age Group 45-49. For his part, Jeffrey Codino stepped up to the last spot of the podium for Male Age Group 35-39.
The women members of the Rider Omega Pro Tri Team posted no less spectacular results with Cianyl Gonzales taking second place overall in Female Elite Category, and Lorna Amor placing first in Female Age Group 40 and above. Also showing a strong performance was Feelin Torres, who secured second place in Female Age Group 29 years and below.
“Rider Omega Pro Tri Team’s victories are undoubtedly the result of its members’ comprehensive training and dedication to the sport, and we at IPC congratulate them for their hard work,” Bautista said.
