The 2016 Honda Civic Has Landed in Manila
One thousand two hundred reservations. That’s the number of people who’ve plopped down money just to be the first batch of owners of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic. And for those people who’ve waited patiently since April, here’s some good news: your all-new Civic has officially landed in the country.
After a lengthy tease and a series of road shows, the first batch of Honda Civics will be delivered to customers starting Saturday, June 11. This coincides with a special Open House Event at all dealerships to commemorate the arrival of this much-awaited new model from Honda.
You can read our First Drive story, but in case you’re still on the fence, dealerships across the country will be offering test drives starting on June 11 as well.
As a refresher, the 2016 Civic is available in two variants: the 1.8 E (P 1,088,000) and the RS Turbo (P 1,398,000).
Hope we can get a review from you soon. Does the turbo engine in the RS really justify the 300k difference between the two?
ReplyDeleteYea, for 300k more:
ReplyDeleteA. I'd like to be able to justify the sizeable price. How? The price is so close to an SUV.
What do you mean so close, it's already the same price as the Isuzu Mux LS-A.
DeletePlease explain. Why are we comparing different sedans and SUVs again? They're two different classes that shouldn't be compared. It's like comparing a Cannondale bicycle with a motorcycle.
DeleteTrue. Toyota 86 and WRX are also priced similarly to SUVs. Only idiots would compare SUVs to sedan when it comes to price. There are different needs for different people.
DeleteSeems to be a standard comment nowadays with every car launch. I'd rather get a diesel SUV at this price. If it were a diesel I would get one and so on
ReplyDeleteYup. Puro sarili kasi iniisip nila. Di nila alam may ibang needs at preferences ang ibang tao. They seem to have the urge to shove their preferences in other people's ass. Douchebags.
DeleteReview comparing the 1.8 E and RS please.
ReplyDeleteYeah i second this. As a first time new car buyer, I'm leaning towards 1.8E so a review for that version would be very helpful. Can't wait! Thanks Sir Uly.
