Mazda and Ford have finally completed their divorce with the announcement that Mazda’s getting in bed with Isuzu to collaborate on their next-generation pickup truck.
The basic agreement has already been signed and sealed with Isuzu producing the next-generation pickup truck for Mazda. To be sold in global markets except North America, this collaboration will “allow Isuzu to enhance its product competitiveness and Mazda to strengthen its product line-up and maintain own-brand market coverage.”
Mazda and Isuzu have developed a collaborative relationship for more than a decade with Isuzu producing Mazda trucks for the Japanese market. This agreement simply reinforces the long-term relationship between the two brands.
Start of sales is yet to be determined.

ReplyDeleteGM dumped Isuzu for its lack of initiave to develop advanced, clean and powerful diesel powerplants. Up to this day, Isuzu is still selling like hotcakes its ancient engines to the delight of Filipino buyers.
On the other hand, Ford dumped Mazda for its boring designs. Its designs are so monotonous and very feminine resulting in the B-50's lagging far behind in pickup sales.
Would be glad to know from commenters whats the outcome of the "new born baby" if Izusu and Mazda slept together?
My guess is that the "short time" will produce the official "baby truck" of the LGBT community !

DeleteIsuzu from the time it was born, was never able to produce a remarkable and quality diesel engine. Today their passenger engines are known to be Noisy, Unresponsive and Smoke Belchers. Hence its engines never passed the US Feds strict NVH and EPA regulations.
DeleteGM has been the diesel authority even before world war two broke out. It created the Detroit Diesel Corporation providing the most powerful and reliable diesel engines in the world. Together with Allison Transmission which GM owns, it supplies the most formidable and refined Diesel Powerplants of today, notably the ones fitted in the Chevrolet & GM pickup trucks !
I hope you know that there are some Isuzu models in the U.S. Are you a Chevrolet employee trying to persuade us to buy a Chevy. Because you're always changing the subject to Chevy. And you're being a sexist by calling Mazda designs feminine. Guys buy Mazda for their designs also fyi.

DeleteAlso, in case you didn't know, the decades old 4JJ1 has one of the lowest CO2 emissions in the competition, not to mention it's B10 rated which means 90% of all engines manufactured will last more than 500,000 Km before a major repair is needed. May ganyan ba yung 2.8 Duramax ng Chevy?
