Eco-Friendly E-Jeepneys Ideal for Pinoy Resorts - PhUV, Inc. CEO
The ubiquitous E-Jeepneys now being used for public transport in Makati, Las Pinas, Filinvest City and Muntinlupa are now finding its way to resorts as well. For those wanting to get away from the smoke, smog and noise of the big city, these E-Jeepneys are a welcome sight as one whiles away his time in peace and quiet amidst an atmosphere of fresh air.
Rommel Juan, chief executive officer of PhUV Inc., the pioneer manufacturer of electric vehicles in the Philippines, said that aside from being used as an eco-friendly alternative to the Philippine iconic Kings of the road, its E-Jeepneys are fast becoming the vehicles of choice in resort establishments as well. “These are used in ferrying guests around the resort and even to the nearest commercial establishments”.
He expounds that for instance, popular Cavite resort Island Cove uses E-Jeepneys in taking their guests around their establishment, from their villas to the pool to the various amenities inside the complex and vice versa. Plantation Bay in Cebu, Fairways & Blue Waters and Crown Regency both in Boracay, Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Camp John Hay in Baguio and San Benito in Batangas also do the same.
“It is the perfect mode of transport for luxury resorts because it is quiet and smoke free. No air and noise pollution. It will not spread toxic fumes in the environment and will thus make the stay of the guests more pleasant”, says Juan who is also the president of the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines. “Electric vehicles have all these benefits so that is why they are gaining more popularity”.
