The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 is Pure Electric Excess
This is the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6—an homage to the glorious age of aero coupes that also manages to carry this tradition to the future. At almost six meters in length with a 750 horsepower engine, it’s pure sensorial excess, but at the same time, it’s every bit environmentally conscious with its completely electric drive system that can run up to 500 kilometers between charges.
Mercedes-Benz calls the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 the ultimate in luxury. Outside, it calls the classic aesthetic proportions: the long hood, low roofline, and rearward positioning of the greenhouse. At the same time, it manages to be cool and avant-garde. This is exemplified by the aerodynamically intelligent shape.
Thanks to its four compact permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, it features all-wheel drive. The output of the drive system is 750 horsepower enough for an 0-100 km/h acceleration time of under 4 seconds. Furthermore, a quick-charge function allows an additional range of 100 kilometers after just 5 minutes of charging.
Inside, it combines emotional, intelligent, and high-tech design cues. The main inspiration is to provide a 360-degree lounge with a dashboard that curves across the door trim into the seat landscape. Even the instrument cluster has been thoroughly modernized. It has what Mercedes-Benz calls “hyperanalogue” instruments with needles and circular crystal-look displays. The classic instruments are combined with deep displays and contrasted by digital elements integrated within. The windshield also serves as a transparent display too.
