Ford Philippines Sales Rise 91 Percent in August

Ford Philippines today announced its best-ever August performance with retail sales soaring 91 percent year-over-year to 2,829 vehicles, led by continued strength in demand for the EcoSport, Everest and Ranger.

Ford’s year-to-date sales have increased 64 percent to 22,346 vehicles, helping it remain one of the fastest growing auto brands in the Philippines this year.

“Our showrooms across the country remained busy in August, with our big three nameplates – Everest, EcoSport and Ranger – continuing to drive our momentum and growth this year,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines.

The Everest mid-size SUV delivered August retail sales of 872 vehicles, pushing its year-to-date total sales to 8,779 vehicles.

The EcoSport compact SUV continued its segment leadership with August sales rising six percent to 855 vehicles. EcoSport sales year-to-date have increased more than five percent to 6,087 vehicles.

The segment-defining Ranger pickup truck delivered August sales that jumped 74 percent to 631 vehicles, pushing year-to-date sales up more than one percent to 5,303 vehicles.

Ford is expecting to boost Ranger sales in September with its month-long ‘Truck Month’ campaign with special offers across the full Ranger line-up of 13 variants in the Philippines.

Ford’s North-American built vehicles also contributed to the record August performance. Monthly sales of the premium Explorer SUV rose 31 percent from a year ago to 76 vehicles. Its year-to-date sales are up nearly four percent to 694 vehicles.

The iconic Mustang sports car had one of its strongest months in August with retail sales of 39 units. Ford has now delivered 206 Mustangs to customers in 2016.

Ford also continued the expansion of its nationwide dealer network in August with the official opening of Ford Dipolog on the southern island of Mindanao. This brings its total number of locations to 41 locations across the country, helping support its rapidly expanding base of Ford customers.

“We’re excited to continue making our brand even more accessible for Filipinos across the country, and provide deliver the very best Ford customer and ownership experience,” said Mosley.

  1. their very low DP really attracted a lot of people. I almost bought an Ecosport with their zero DP scheme, where you just have to get their in-house comprehensive insurance for the next four years. Good thing I thoroughly thought about it first otherwise I might have some remorse right now
