Oktoberfest: BMW Celebrates 100 Years with the BMW Festival (w/ 15 Photos)
The Bonifacio Global City turned into a motorized Bavarian festival worthy of being compared to the Oktoberfest. However, it wasn’t alcohol that was flowing; it was more of the high-octane variety.
In celebration of BMW’s centennial anniversary and to set its sights on its corporate vision for the next 100 years, Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC) mounted the BMW Festival at the Bonifacio High Street in BGC.
Celebrating the blue-and-white spinning propeller emblem, ACC showed off several iconic BMW models throughout their history including the 3.0 CSL (E9), M3 (E30), and the Z1. Pointing towards the future, BMW also showed off the i8—a technological milestone in sustainable mobility. Several legendary motorrads were also on display.
BMW also provided its clientele with an exclusive opportunity to partake in the celebrations by having a whole parking block reserved for BMW owners. Owners parked their cars depending on year model with late model BMWs taking one row, 80s and 90s taking up another, and iconic 60s and 70s vintage ones parked neatly in a row.
