One-Off Lotus Evora Sport 410 Recalls Famous James Bond Car
Lotus Cars celebrated the 40th anniversary of one of the most iconic movie cars ever with a one off Evora Sport 410. Already a limited production run with just 150 copies to be made, this special one of one created by Lotus Exclusive is meant to pay tribute to the Lotus Esprit S1, star of the James Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me.
Jean-Marc Gales, CEO, Group Lotus plc said, “So many of us recall the impact of the Lotus Esprit when it hit the big screen in The Spy Who Loved Me, and we wanted to honor that with a special Evora Sport 410. It’s the perfect tribute to such an influential Lotus, but a world away in terms of its abilities and performance. Supremely fast and agile, rivals’ cars look overweight and underpowered in comparison. Lotus was founded on the principle of lightweight engineering and, even today, nobody does it better.”
This special Evora Sport 410 features unique touches courtesy of Lotus Exclusive. It starts out with a new color-coordinated front bumper that modifies the front-end while at the back, a one-piece carbon fiber tailgate gives the illusion of a traditional hatchback. On the side, a B-pillar badge script, in the style of the original Esprit, is present.
Nods to the Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me continue inside with insert panels and carbon fiber seats trimmed in heritage Tartan. Red contrast stitching complement the Alcantara on the dashboard and console.
Beneath all the custom work done on the Evora Sport 410, it retains all the engineering elements that make it so formidable. This includes the supercharged 3.5-liter V6 producing 410 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. The advanced aerodynamics also offer 64 kilograms of downforce.
This special one-off Evora highlights the increasingly popular Lotus Exclusive service that combines traditional British craftsmanship with modern design. It inspires buyers to spend time tailoring the character of their Lotus with a comprehensive array of options. In fact, 25 percent of owners go through the Lotus Exclusive catalogue.
The Lotus Evora Sport 410 is on sale globally including in the Philippines through its official distributor, Lotus Cars Manila. Its showroom is located at 324 Ortigas Avenue, North Greenhills, San Juan City.
