Taking inspiration from classic Tamiya ads, Toyota asked the question: can 15 radio-controlled Tamiya Hilux Bruiser 4x4s pull its full-sized counterpart? With the tires of the RC cars pumped to 60 PSI, their drivetrain locked into low-range four-wheel drive, and ballast added to the bed to aid traction, the answer is a resounding yes! If you don’t believe it, then see the video below.
Interestingly, the 1:10 scale Tamiya Hilux Bruiser 4x4s max out at 23.2 Nm helping them pull the 3,200-kilogram Hilux (there’s even a driver inside) easily. It’s certainly a testament to the capabilities of Tamiya’s remote controlled cars. You can also read in detail on how Toyota UK did it by reading their official blog.
