Ford Philippines April 2017 Sales Rise Due to EcoSport
Ford Philippines reported that April retail sales reached 2,613 vehicles led by its top-selling nameplates: EcoSport, Everest and Ranger.
The EcoSport led Ford’s April performance with sales rising 4 percent year-over-year to 866 vehicles, pushing its year-to-date sales up 25 percent to 3,333 vehicles.
The Ranger delivered sales of 731 vehicles in April, helping drive its year-to-date sales up 13 percent from the same period last year to 2,884 vehicles.
The Everest remained Ford’s top-selling nameplate with year-to-date sales totaling 3,568 vehicles, including April sales of 848 vehicles.
Ford’s North American-built models also contributed to the April performance with sales of the Explorer premium mid-size SUV rising 13 percent from a year ago to 90 vehicles and Mustang notching 24 customer deliveries in April.
“The market fundamentals remain strong, and our outlook through the remainder of the year is optimistic as we work with our dealers to continue delivering world-class Ford vehicles and further enhance our overall customer and ownership experience,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines.

Only people who doesn't know anything about cars will buy the Ecosport. Weak engine, jerky transmission, hard seats, questionable reliability, poor ride quality, etc.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they hate it in AU. The only thing going for it is its wading depth, which metro pinoys worry about the floods. And of course the ride height, which the Chevy Trax has too but is more expensive.
DeleteThere's still many buyers not researching first before purchasing a vehicle smh.
DeleteThe chevy trax doesn't really have the height advantage (I own one). good thing it has a built on rubber lip para iwas gasgas. dami ko narin sayad moments dyan. hehe. However I can vouch for its power and safety equipments. :)
DeleteHow many times does it flood in a year? Why would I buy a mediocre CUV car over a good compact sedan/hatch in which I would only utilize its flood wading depth only a few times a year? And the majority of vehicles in our roads are sedans.
ReplyDeleteSo much bitterness from those guys /\
ReplyDeleteJap competitors are still unable to give buyers a viable Ecosport alternative (at that price point!)
So for now, Ford will just laugh all the way to the bank
I DON'T OWN ONE
Yeah but Ford better update it. Good thing the newer one is coming, although it's still quite shocking this old and mediocre model still sells very well. Sabagay kung ang binutung prisidinti nga i si dutirti, kutsi pa kaya makapili ng tama, wahahaha
Deletethe new model is just called SelectShift, which as per research is the same thing. I would've liked the EcoSport since it matched my 98 RAV4 in size but not in Power. sayang yung DCT na yan, it's not meant for stop-and-go traffic.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the manual is the better transmission for this model unfortunately. I thought they're putting in their 1.0 Ecoboost in the newer model and ditching the DCT? Parang wala na yata silang DCT sa mga recent releases nila
Delete^And then there is the most admired "FORD PH SERVICE" which is very much world class c/o the FORD PH President himself!!!
