Business tycoon Ramon Ang is entering into Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC) as a director and shareholder. This was all but confirmed after both Ang and ACC Chairman Jose “Pepito” Alvarez talked to The Philippine STAR today.
The exclusive distributor of BMW automobiles and motorcycles in the country since 2009, Alvarez said that ACC is confident that the BMW business “will be in good hands” thanks to Ang’s entrance as a company director. Alvarez also pointed out the potential synergies ACC will have with Ang’s other businesses under diversified conglomerate San Miguel Corporation; this includes the number one fuel refinery and retailer in the country, Petron.
No further details were given about this shakeup in ACC’s operations.
