Kia Returns to Philippine Basketball Association
Kia is set to make its comeback to the local professional sports scene as it announces its return to the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The team has declared that they will play the 2017 Governor’s Cup as Kia Picanto, after the brand’s best-selling vehicle.
Kia has been committed for a long time to the development of Philippine sports. Even before the brand first entered the PBA in 2014 as Kia Sorento, they have provided support to grassroots sports campaigns.
Kia sees its homecoming to the PBA as the next logical progression in its sports journey. Basketball will always be the Filipinos’ first love when it comes to sports and Kia wants to be an integral part of that relationship.
The team and staff have expressed their elation with the return of Kia as the team’s title sponsor. Its roster is a complement of old and newer faces that will make basketball exciting for the brand.
Kia Picanto is looking to stay true to Kia’s brand motto of “Power to Surprise” and will be looking to shock their opponents this coming 2017 PBA Governor’s Cup.
