Hino Strengthens Mindanao Presence with Cagayan de Oro Dealership
Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines formally, bolsters its footprint in Mindanao with a new dealership in Cagayan de Oro (CDO), the second-fastest growing city in the region next to Davao.
The inauguration of Hino CDO, HMP’s second dealership in Mindanao, is a testament to the company’s continuous efforts to expand its transport solutions in the island. Aside from being the regional capital of northern Mindanao, Cagayan de Oro is known as the logistics and transshipment hub of the region.
Banking on its continued economic growth, CDO is envisioned to become the country’s fourth and newest metropolitan economic center joining Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao, according to the National Economic Development Authority’s Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022. This is based on CDO’s projected population growth and vital role as one of the major gateways of goods in southern Philippines. The city’s accessibility by sea, air and land transport to and from the rest of Mindanao and the nation makes it a transport hub and a strategic location of choice for businesses to establish and grow.
Hino CDO, which is managed by Big Trucks Corporation, is equipped to complement the city’s economic progress by providing quality trucks and buses. CDO’s economy, which emphasizes industry, commerce, trade, service and tourism, is reliant on an efficient business partner that will cater to the city’s needs for transshipment, especially as CDO strengthen its role as a transport hub.
“We are extremely delighted to see Hino expanding further here in Mindanao. As we increase our visibility here in the region, we extend our commitment to bring total customer satisfaction as a one-stop shop for all trucking needs. HMP will work hand in hand with Hino Cagayan de Oro to ensure smooth operations. Hino CDO will surely be a dependable business partner that will help people and goods safely and economically go where they need to go,” HMP President Mr. Hiroshi Aoki, said.
Earlier this month, Hino General Santos officially started its construction with a ground-breaking ceremony. Hino Cagayan de Oro and Hino Davao are geared to provide total support to the region’s growing trucking needs–from sales, parts and maintenance–with their full-service dealerships.
