Hyundai Philippines Champions Revitalized Interest in Philippine Natural History
The Hyundai Philippines Entrance Hall welcomed VIP guests, donors, and stakeholders to the inauguration of the newly renovated National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), the proud repository of the country’s rich scientific and cultural past.
As a major donor of this important heritage project, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm, HARI Foundation, Inc. (HFI) reaffirmed its advocacy for education in Philippine biodiversity conservation.
Echoing the inspired statements of Education Secretary Dr. Leonor Briones on the NMNH as a premier learning venue for 27-M students across the country, and of National Museum Chair Ramon del Rosario Jr., who lauded the strong public-private collaboration behind this endeavor, HFI President Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo noted that Hyundai’s permanent presence in the NMNH signifies the leading auto brand’s one-ness with the national and global agenda for sustainability. “With a new home that promises better access to research and collections that bespeak new thinking in the sciences through the centuries, the NMNH inspires national pride and the desire to learn and discover new ways of addressing biodiversity loss and climate change woes. For it is with a deep understanding of our past that we can effectively address present and future challenges.”
The much-awaited grand public opening of the National Museum of Natural History is scheduled to happen in the last quarter of 2017.
I just sure hope that these kind of promotional activities or whatever you may call it, being done by Hyundai are not a cover up regarding their alleged smuggling activities which were discovered recently.
