TMP Tech Continues to Produce Highly Skilled Technicians for Auto Workforce

Toyota Motor Philippines School of Technology (TMP Tech), a premier technical school in Laguna envisioned as a source of quality service technicians, recently held its 5th Commencement Exercises for 75 new graduates under the school’s flagship two-year Toyota General Job (GJ) Automotive Servicing Course. These young Filipino automotive technicians are among TMP Tech’s 710 total graduates since the school started operations in 2013.

Having undergone workshop simulations at TMP Tech and extensive on-the-job training at local Toyota dealers, the 75 new graduates are now fully equipped to join Toyota’s network of after-sales service professionals. Toyota’s local distribution network now accounts for 62 dealers nationwide (including Lexus Manila).

In his speech, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation president Satoru Suzuki welcomed the graduates as part of the Toyota network, saying, “I know that you will be more than motivated now that you shall be taking on the role of true Toyota professionals, providing excellent technical service and creating more customer smiles.”

As the event’s Guest of Honor, TESDA director general Guiling Mamondiong gave his inspirational message, which was delivered by deputy director general Rosanna Urdaneta. “Armed with the necessary competencies, continue honing your craft and adhere to the principles of excellence that will propel the country in taking the path towards global competitiveness and global recognition,” exhorted Mamondiong, inspiring the graduates on life after school.

The ceremony, held at TMP Tech’s campus in Santa Rosa City, Laguna, also recognized the technical and special excellence awardees, as well as the graduate scholars and their sponsor organizations.
