Ford Philippines Achieves Record Sales in 2017
Ford Philippines announced its fifth consecutive year of record sales with 2017 retail sales rising 9 percent from the prior year to 36,623 units. This performance was led by record full-year sales from the Everest, EcoSport, Ranger, and Explorer.
Ford capped the record year with its all-time best monthly performance as December sales increased 45 percent year-over-year to 4,629 units. The Everest, EcoSport, and Ranger each delivered record monthly sales to finish out the year.
“The Everest, EcoSport, and Ranger continued to drive our retail performance in 2017 and remain among the leaders in their respective, highly competitive vehicle segments,” said Bertrand Lessard, managing director, Ford Philippines. “We’re confident that we’ll carry our sales momentum into this year, while further building on our Ford customer and ownership service experience.”
The Everest remained Ford’s top-seller in the Philippines in 2017 with full-year sales rising slightly from the prior year to 12,455 units. This included Everest’s all-time best month in December with sales increasing 48 percent year-over-year to 1,582 units.
Meanwhile, the EcoSport compact SUV achieved a record full-year performance with sales rising 13 percent year-over-year to 11,299 units. Record monthly sales for the EcoSport in December saw sales rise 29 percent to 1,450 units.
The Ranger delivered record sales in 2017 and remained the second best-selling pick-up truck in the Philippines with full-year sales increasing 31 percent to 10,658 units. The Ranger’s exceptional year was capped by its best-ever month in December with sales increasing 87 percent year-over-year to 1,433 units.
Surprisingly, North American units such as the premium Explorer SUV and Mustang delivered record numbers in 2017. Explorer sales rose 9 percent to 1,125 units in 2017 while the Mustang saw a healthy 28 percent increase to 407 units.
Ford also continued the expansion of its dealer network in 2017 with the opening of three new dealerships in Roxas, Dumaguete, and Surigao, bringing the total number of Ford outlets around the country to 46.
Ford also launched a nationwide experiential roadshow last year, the Ford Island Conquest, to reach more customers and provide a first-hand experience with the Everest, Ranger, and EcoSport by combining a scaled-down showroom with a unique and immersive test-drive environment.

Deletenag improve nang konti ang ford service. ang problema baka panandalian lang ito habang mainit pa ang issue. pero tiyak babalik rin sa dati kasi mga franchise lang ang ibang service centers at hindi talaga total controlled ng ford ph.
