Nissan Philippines Beefs Up SUV Line-Up by Updating Patrol Royale and Juke for 2018

Nissan Philippines is on an SUV offensive by updating two of their local offerings for 2018. The smallest (Juke) and largest (Patrol Royale) receives updates coming into this month that adds style, convenience, and value.

Now available at Nissan dealers nationwide, the 2018 Patrol Royale bows in with enhancements that upgrade its power, drivability, and convenience.

Visually, it gets a new front bumper, grille insert, and front fog lights. It also gets LED headlights and taillights as well as 20-inch alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the robust 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine receives direct injection and variable valve event lift technology pushing its output to an even 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. Together with this new powerplant is a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Inside, it gets new black leather seats (tan leather is an option), an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, second-row headrest monitors, and a 13-speaker Bose sound system.

For added safety and convenience, the 2018 Patrol Royale gets a 360-degree camera (Around View Monitor) with moving object detection and parking guide. It also gets front and rear sonar sensors as well. The safety package is rounded off with stability control with integrated hill start assist and hill descent control.

Despite all these enhancements, pricing of the 2018 Patrol Royale is now more affordable compared to the 2017 model at P 3,749,900.

Meanwhile, Nissan is set to offer the latest installment (third wave) of its Juke N-Style styling package for 2018. With dealer deliveries to commence by the middle of February (pricing will also be announced then), the 2018 Juke N-Style takes on a color scheme that’s reminiscent of NISMO: red and white.

To recap, the Juke N-Style takes a regular Juke and enhances it with exterior (headlamp finisher, lower bumper finisher, sport skirts, mirror caps, door handle finisher, side door sills, rear spoiler lower back door finisher) and interior (unique center console, armrest, sport fabric seats, door trim, A/C vents, and door switches) enhancements.

Nissan Philippines is looking to have a very strong SUV line-up this year. Aside from the Juke and Patrol Royale, the company actually updated its compact crossover, the X-TRAIL late last year. In addition, it’s expected that they will enter into the mid-sized 7-seater SUV market sometime middle of this year.
