Just in time for summer break, the Department of Transporation (DOTr) has announced that Phase 1 of its Toll Interoperability Project is now being implemented. With that, users of Autosweep RFID (SLEX, MCX, Skyway) can now use their RFID tags on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), SCTEX (Subic-Clark Expressway), and CAVITEX (Cavite Expressway).
However, there is a catch.
Autosweep RFID users cannot simply blitz through the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) lanes on NLEX, SCTEX, and CAVITEX. The DOTr outlines the following procedure:
- Head to TOTAL Kawit, Paranaque Southbound POS in Cavitex or Balintawak Customer Service Center in NLEX
- Handover Autosweep card (not RFID) ESC POS
- ESC POS will check the following: if there is an existing Easytrip/EasyDrive tag on the vehicle; if the Autosweep tag is working; EPC & TID Numbers of the tag
- Fill out and sign subscription form, terms, and conditions as well as Auto-debit form (the last one is optional).
- Pay initial load of P 500.
- Let ESC POS stick Easytrip account number on Autosweep Card.
- Wait three (3) days for activation.
The second phase of the Toll Interoperability Project (Easytrip cards for San Miguel Corporation owned expressways) will be implemented by the first quarter of 2018.
Despite this good news, the DOTr still encourages motorists to maintain both RFIDs in the mean time until the full implementation of the Toll Interoperability Project has been completed.
ReplyDeleteDeuts just be thankful on it and always look on the brightside
DeleteKung makareklamo... tsk.
ReplyDeleteYou still need to load 2 accounts
ReplyDeleteIf you have both tags, anung babasahin ng toll.
ReplyDeletei have both south and north tags. the south rfid tag is read by slex/skyway. the north rfid tag is read by cavitex, nlex, sctex
Easier process will make this work.
ReplyDeleteVery hassle. Sana thru online nalang. Ba yan.
ReplyDeleteAno good news dyan? If u need to apply again.
ReplyDeleteNasa Parallel phase palang po kasi ang implementation...so maintain 2 RF Id's...after phase II fully implementation...1 account nalang po. Ganyan po talaga sa umpisa. konting hassle.
ReplyDeleteI agree, maaayos din yan as we go along...

ReplyDeletein most developed countries the distribution of the rfid is managed by the motor registration department (which is lto for us). their rfid's is delivered to their registered address via mail (could be courier for us). this procedure will create less hassle and minimize traffic caused by all these vehicles going out just to get these devices
