Ford Philippines March 2018 Sales Driven by Just 3 Models
Ford Philippines is reporting that the Ranger, EcoSport, and Everest led their March 2018 retail sales accounting for 97 percent of the brand’s total sales. Combined, Ford’s so-called “big three” brought in 1,795 out of 1,951-unit sales for the month.
The Ranger, which benefits from the new excise tax scheme, led March numbers with 942 vehicles sold, pushing its year-to-date total up 16 percent to 2,508 vehicles.
Meanwhile, the EcoSport continues to be the leader in the sub-compact SUV segment with 503 units sold in March, bringing its year-to-date sales to 1,842 units.
Finally, the Everest SUV sold 350 vehicles in March, driving year-to-date sales to 1,759 vehicles.
In a bid to boost customer confidence, Ford is implementing an adjustment to scheduled service maintenance across its nationwide dealership network with lower costs for parts and labor starting this month.
The new scheduled service maintenance cost structure translates to an average overall reduction of 15 percent for Ranger owners, 18 percent for Everest owners, and 20 percent for EcoSport owners.
“To better serve our fast growing customer base, we’ve made adjustments to our cost of ownership that will help make us even more competitive,” said Bert Lessard, managing director, Ford Philippines.
