Mitsubishi Philippines Pledges Support in Marawi Reconstruction


Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has donated a total of 26 vehicles to the Task Force Bangon Marawi. The vehicles will be used to aid the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) rebuild and restore the city of Marawi.

The 26 units consist of 17 Mitsubishi L300, 3 Mitsubishi Strada 4WD, 3 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and 3 Mitsubishi Montero Sport 4WD.

Attending the turnover ceremony for these vehicles in Barangay Sagonsongan, Marawi City, are Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Assistant Secretary Felix Castro Jr., Lanao del Sur Vice Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr., Marawi City Mayor Majur  Gandamra, and other key officials from various local government bodies.

 MMPC President and CEO, Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said:

“We hope that through our simple donation, we will be able to help restore the beauty of Marawi and the confidence of the people of this great community.”

 “MMPC is honored to contribute to the government’s efforts for the rehabilitation of Marawi. For sure the City of Marawi will regain all of its former glory.”

The turnover of the MMPC vehicles coincides with a donation of heavy equipment and machinery by the Japanese Government to the DPWH which will also help the Philippine government to accelerate the rebuilding of Marawi City.
