Nissan Electrifies the Sylphy, Turns It into Chinese Market EV
This isn’t your ordinary Nissan Sylphy. Unveiled at Auto China 2018, this is their latest vehicle after the all-new Leaf that bolsters their aggressive EV plan. This is Nissan’s first-ever electric car made in China for Chinese consumers.
While Nissan hasn’t provided a lot of technical specifics, the company does mention that it shares the Leaf’s platform. With that, the battery placement is under the seats resulting in a comfortable and spacious cabin with “class-leading legroom.” Furthermore, it will have a connectivity feature allowing the Sylphy Zero Emission’s AV system to be remote-controlled from a mobile phone. It will also have a range of 338 kilometers based on official Chinese standards.
More details on the Sylphy Zero Emission will be revealed closer to its Chinese market debut late 2018. It is the first of 20 electrified models the company plans to introduce in the next five years.
