Nissan Creates an Open-Top Leaf EV
Celebrating the 100,000th sales milestone of the Leaf EV, Nissan unveiled a one-off open-air version of the world’s best-selling electric vehicle.
The special car was displayed at a forum attended by Japanese government officials and company executives who gathered in Tokyo to discuss the creation of a “zero-emission society.”
The second-generation Leaf debuted in October and not only featured increased range and performance, but also a suite of advanced driver assistive technologies dubbed Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
Nissan clarified that there are no plans to produce the Leaf Open Car.
