Chevrolet Philippines Confirms: We Are Bringing in the Corvette

Chevrolet Philippines is off on a lengthy teaser campaign for the Corvette. After almost a year in the making, it seems The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI) is pulling through and introducing America’s supercar to the Philippines.

Although the distributor has yet to give concrete details about the Corvette’s Philippine launch, at least the timeline has been confirmed: it will arrive in showrooms by the fourth quarter of this year.

Interestingly enough, digging through Chevrolet’s North American website reveals at least 28 possible variants for the Corvette so picking the exact one coming to the Philippines is tricky. That said, the Corvette does start out at USD 55,495 (~PHP 2,920,000) for the base 1LT model and up to USD 119,995 (~ PHP 6,300,000) for the ultimate ZR1. The Corvette should benefit from the new excise tax and its Philippine price tag will most likely fall in the P 7 million to P 8 million range.

A handful of motoring journalists were flown to the US to sample the ZR1 so it’s very likely that Chevrolet Philippines is thinking of bringing that model over here. If that’s the case, the Nissan GT-R may find some company since the Corvette ZR1 does 0-100 km/h in about 2.85 seconds all the way to a 337 km/h top speed. Its pricing is more or less the same as well.

The Corvette ZR1 produces 755 horsepower and 969 Nm of torque from its supercharged V8 engine which employs a combination of direct- and port injection systems.

More information on this when it becomes available.

  1. DONT BUY CHEVROLET!!! Chevy is dying in the philippines. Chevy north edsa is closed. Chevy quezon ave splits the area with TATA motors. I was once a fan and have high regard for chevy but now no more. Easily worn out parts, very high cost of PMS and poor service. Besides, they dont honor warranty even if the odometer is less than 100k and less than 3 yrs. I event went to TCCI in makati but they did not help. Both TCCI and Casa will look for every excuse in the world to void the warranty. By the way, i own 3 Chevy's. I am Autoactiv, and my advise? NEVER BUY CHEVY !!!, mauubos lang ang pera nyo nyo sa maintenance !!!

Yet Chevy even have the face to advertise 5 years extended warranty & five years worry free driving?
BIG BIG LIE and PURE BULL SHIT !!!
