Hyundai CV Dealers Held First Dealer Conference

Pioneer dealers of Hyundai commercial vehicles (CV) in the Philippines held the First CV Dealership Conference in Chengdu City, China.

With the theme “Weaving the New Silk Road for the CV Business,” conference delegates discussed milestones as well as strategies to sustain the winning stance of HARI’s CV business.

The conference was graced by top management of Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and HARI.

HMC Head of CV Overseas Division Mr. Donho Choi commended the participants for taking this “young (two-year) business” to heights that veterans of the trade usually achieve within a much longer period. “We are confident that you can greatly contribute to our global and Philippine target for CV this year… together, we will indeed weave new frontiers of growth for the Hyundai CV business,” concluded Mr. Choi.

HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo noted the significance of holding the conference in Chengdu, a major trading post of Ancient and Modern-day China. “We want to weave new frontiers of growth for Hyundai CV. We aspire to put Hyundai trucks and buses at the forefront of trade and commerce, the way the commercial vehicles of old served as primer movers of progress as they transported their wares half across the globe through the Ancient Silk Road. Ours is a road marked by opportunity, quality and reliability, and service beyond compare… signifying greater things for our business.”

Earlier this year, HMC awarded the HARI CV Division with the 2017 Regional Excellence Award for Asia & Pacific, besting the Region’s other 15 distributorships. HARI was cited for its outstanding performance in 2017, marked by rapid growth in sales, bold marketing campaigns, and unparalleled brand loyalty.

HARI entered the CV distributorship business in February 15, 2016—the only single-brand distributorship in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2017, on its first full year of operations, HARI’s CV Division delivered 883 percent growth in retail sales, exceeding the all-time-high performance of the former distributor in its 13 years of operations.

HARI expects to have a total of 15 CV dealership facilities operating by 2019.
