PNP Patrol Cars to Have Access to Hyundai Philippines's Award-Winning Service
In a bid to modernize the country’s crime fighting capabilities, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) pledges to keep the 130-strong Elantra and Starex units delivered to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in tip-top shape. This was revealed by HARI executives during a turnover ceremony held at Camp Karingal in Quezon City.
Covered by the comprehensive Hyundai Service package, the patrol cars were initially inspected at the port of delivery and at the Hyundai Logistics Center before they were turned over. These vehicles also receive Hyundai’s 5-year unlimited mileage warranty as well as special access and preferential Preventive Maintenance Service rates (parts and labor) at all of HARI’s 42-strong nationwide dealership network.
The 40 Elantra and 81 Starex units were geared straight from the factory by Hyundai Motor Company. It has special features such as LED search and warning lights, safety screens, dashboard cameras, mobile radio casings, rear safety films, and multi-function signal bars.
The donation was done by Hyundai in partnership with the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). It’s the biggest and most significant vehicle donation made by HMC in the country and is an important step in Korea and the Philippines’s 6-year joint project to help modernize the PNP.
“It is always a challenge to live up to our customer promise, but most especially now that we are the PNP’s new partner in public service,” stated HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo. “Our goal is to bolster the capacity of our police authorities, so that they can effectively carry out their mission to maintain peace and order while enjoying a safe and comfortable ride.”
The turnover ceremony was attended by DILG Undersecretary for Peace and Order Bernardo Florece, PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde, Quezon City Police District Chief Joselito Esquivel, His Excellency Han Dong-Man, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines, KNPA Commissioner General Lee Chul-Sung, HMC President for Strategic Planning Chung Jin Haeng, and HARI President and CEO Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo.
Ms. Perez-Agudo said, “The turnover of a fleet of our best-selling Elantra and Grand Starex units signifies the strengthening of public-private collaboration to ensure an environment that is safe and conducive to business. The work that the PNP does in maintaining peace and order is an essential component of growth and development.”
HARI has been delivering outstanding Service performance in the Hyundai Asia-Pacific distributorship network, bagging top honors for Customer Satisfaction in After-Sales Service in 2018.
Now would you pay 1 million for an Elantra? Hell no..
ReplyDeleteThe government did not pay anything though which is uhm better than nothing?
DeleteA more appropriate response to this would be thanking Sokor instead of bashing.
DeleteAnonymous 2,yes I employ 40 pinoy here even if I had a choice to do business somewhere else na walang red tape and corruption.
Montero is also used as patrol car can't see any reason to make its value worth less. Same goes to Innova, Hilux, Ford Ranger, Altis and in eastern Visayas Prius.
DeleteProbably has more equipment or something made for policemen, like a GPS Tracker or mga accessories kaya umakyat ang price.
Deletelol. analyze muna kasi before mag-comment yung Ano2-3.
